Xcel provides electricity to about 3.3 million consumers in eight nations, including South Dakota, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, New Mexico, Texas, and North Dakota. In the announcement, Xcel stated that with plans on placing 1.5 million electric vehicles on roads of the eight States by next decade.
